Established in 1995, Factory Books is the publishing arm of the Image Factory Art Foundation. Our focus has been to document the exhibits and projects we develop, however, we've reached beyond visual art and engaged in a variety of publications. ANDY PALACIO
In January 2008 Belize lost one of its greatest artists Andy Palacio at the young age of 47. On December 2 of that same year in tribute to the musician the Andy Palacio foundation released this book. With an introduction by Princeton professor Michael Stone and essays by Belizean anthropologist Dr. Joseph Palacio and cultural activist Roy Cayetano the book catalogues the life of Palacio. This is the first publication dealing with his the life and work. Richly illustrated with photographs from his boyhood days in the village of Barranco to the end of his life on tour across America and Europe, the book serves as a visual testimony for the struggle and achievement of a great man.

Made In Belize by Maggie Turner
A survey of twenty three contemporary Belizean artists, Made In Belize is an important starting point in understanding the past thirty years of Belizean art. University student Maggie Turner spent the summer of 2007 in Belize travelling across the country interviewing, photographing and gathering information about the artists. The result is this easy to read book that captures the essential vibe and characteristic of the individual artist and also at the same time placing them in their historical, cultural and artistic setting.

RAY Nothing to lose by Ray Lightburn
Ray Lightburn was a mavrick Belizean. He lived his life in poetry. He was among other things a trade unionist, political activist, master ranconteur and newspaper editor. Ray was a loyal soldier of the Peoples' United Party (PUP) and staunch follower of its great leader and father of Belizean Independence George Price. In the twilight of his life Ray was consumed by drug addiction and at age 68 was tragically killed by a car as he walked along the roadside. This book, a short snapshot of his life, was written just months before his death.

diary of 100 objects by Yasser Musa
As part of his participation in the contemporary art exhibition landings 4 held in San Jose, Costa Rica, 2007, artist Yasser Musa developed the project Diary of 100 Objects where he wrote about the mundane, utilitarian, and consumeristic objects in his life.
